Description

Nice cyanotype cabinet photograph depicting a train with a banner from the Snoqualmie Falls Power Company on the side. Text in the image states Guests of Power Company June 12, 1898. Local businessman William T. Baker, he formed the Snoqualmie Falls Power Company and construction began in April 1898. Not sure what this event might have been as construction just started and was not completed until 1899. Also not July 4 celebration. The men and women are all dressed nicely. Possibly a company or worker family picnic. Possibly signed C H B in the top left corner. The image is 6” x 8 ½” and 8 ½” x 10 ½” overall. Light spotting and mount corner wear. See images.
