Up for sale is a rare original cartoon drawing from long time Baltimore Sun illustrator, John Stees. The cartoon is not dated and measures approximately 7 1/2" X 8 1/2 " . Mr. Stees (Baltimore 1910-1982) was a well known artist / cartoonist for the Baltimore Sun Newspaper from 1936-1979. He also was a cartoonist and artist for both The Sunday Sun and The Evening Sun. Even after he retired from the Sun in 1979 his strip "Stees Sees" continued appearing until his death in 1982. The drawing is in good condition. Some slight discoloration, markings, and wear due to age mainly in edges. There is some writing in pencil in upper left and bottom center of drawing. Also it is numbered in pencil in upper right corner. All of this is shown in photos. A great addition to any collection. We guarantee all signed items to be as described and authentic.
