USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CV-42 Guest Photo Album Signed by Capt. R.P. "Deke" Bordone, a Highly Decorated A-6 Intruder Pilot. The album has 19 photos that measure 6" x 4". Good vintage condition overall (note the front and back cover wear, as shown in pics #1 & 11). Of course, the focus is on Capt. Bordone, who was one of the most highly decorated fighter pilots during the Vietnam War, earning no fewer than 4 Silver Stars, 6 DFC's, a Bronze Star, 19 Air Medals (w/ 7 stars), 2 Purple Hearts, and 4 Navy Commendation Medals (w/Combat V). He was fittingly enshrined in the Naval Aviation Hall of Honor is Pensacola, FL. His signature may be viewed on the inside cover of the album, as shown in pic #3).
